How to Draw a Chocolate Egg

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a chocolate egg in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the egg.

Print

  1. Step 1: The egg

Near the top, draw a big egg, a little narrower at the top than the bottom.

  2. Step 2: Torn foil edge

A third of the way down, start on the left edge. Draw a jagged zigzag across to the right edge.

Tip Above the zigzag the chocolate shows; below is still wrapped.

  3. Step 3: Diamond pattern

Across the foil, draw a zigzag from edge to edge, and another upside down over it, making diamonds.

  4. Step 4: Wavy band and dots

Lower down, draw a wavy line of 4 bumps across. Add 5 little dots, 3 above and 2 below.

  5. Step 5: Two shines

Draw 2 thin slanted slivers for shine: a big one upper left, a small one low on the right.

  6. Step 6: Two little eggs

At the bottom on each side, draw a small egg with a little zigzag across it.

  7. Step 7: The ground

Draw a ground line under the eggs from well left to well right.

  8. Step 8: Yellow eggs and dots

Go over your lines. Colour the dots and the little eggs yellow.

  9. Step 9: Purple foil

Colour the foil below the torn edge purple, going around the dots and leaving the shine white.

  10. Step 10: Brown chocolate

Colour the chocolate above the torn edge brown, leaving the shine white, and your chocolate egg is done!
