How to Draw a Popsicle
Draw a Popsicle in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the popsicle.
Step 1: The popsicle
Start low left. Draw up, over a big round top, and down the right side, stopping at a bite gap.
Tip Leave the bottom open. Draw the rest of the right side under the gap.
Step 2: Melty bottom
Start at the bottom right. Draw 5 fat U drips across the bottom, and stop at the bottom left.
Tip The drips hang under the popsicle; make them plump.
Step 3: The stick
From under the middle drip draw 2 lines down, a finger apart. Join them with a round end.
Step 4: The bite
Start at the top of the gap. Draw 2 round C bites curving in. Stop at the gap's bottom.
Tip Two round bites with a point between, like teeth marks.
Step 5: Chocolate dip
Start on the left edge above the middle. Draw 4 fat U bumps across to the right edge. Chocolate dip!
Tip The dip bumps are smaller than the bottom drips.
Step 6: A shine
Inside the left edge, above the dip, draw a thin sliver like a tiny banana, a finger inside the edge.
Step 7: A falling drop
Under the left drips draw one small teardrop, point up, falling toward the ground.
Tip Leave a gap so the drop is really falling.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a ground line under the stick, from a little left of the popsicle to a little right.
Step 9: Cream stick, pink pop
Colour the stick cream. Colour the popsicle below the wavy line, the drips and the falling drop pink.
Step 10: Brown chocolate dip
Colour the top above the wavy line brown, and leave the shine white.
