How to Draw a Squash
Draw a squash in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the squash.
Step 1: The squash
Left of the middle draw a squash like a tall pear: a long neck widening into a big round bottom.
Step 2: The stem
On the very top draw a short stubby stem: 2 lines close together with a flat top.
Step 3: Neck lines
Down the neck draw 2 long bowed lines, one each side, from near the top down to the round bottom.
Step 4: Bottom lines
On the round bottom draw 1 bowed line on each side, a finger inside the edge.
Step 5: A slice
On the right, beside the squash, draw a fat half-moon slice with its flat side down.
Step 6: The skin
Just inside the slice's edge draw a rainbow from end to end of the flat side, for the skin.
Step 7: Seeds
In the middle of the flat side draw a small rainbow hollow. Put 3 seeds side by side in it.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a long ground line under the squash and the slice, just touching their bottoms.
Step 9: Cream seeds
Go over your lines, then colour the seed hollow and the seeds cream.
Step 10: Peach squash
Colour the squash and the skin of the slice peach.
Step 11: Orange slice
Colour the slice orange inside the skin, around the cream seeds.
Step 12: Wood stem
Colour the stem wood brown, and your squash is done!
