How to Draw a Chinchilla
Draw a chinchilla in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: round fluffy head.
Step 1: Round fluffy head
Near the top draw a big round head with 2 soft fluffy bumps low on each cheek.
Tip Keep the top smooth: the fluffy bumps go on the cheeks only.
Step 2: Huge dish ears
On each top corner draw a huge round ear tucked behind the head, with a smaller dish inside.
Tip Chinchilla ears are big round dishes, nearly as tall as half the head.
Step 3: Two shiny eyes
Just above the middle of the head draw 2 big round eyes with fat black dots and white shines.
Step 4: Snout and smile
Under the eyes draw a heart snout and nose. From the nose draw a short line down to a smile.
Step 5: Round body
From under the left cheek draw a big round body down to the ground and up to the right cheek.
Tip Make it round like a pear, widest near the ground.
Step 6: Little paws
From the chin draw 2 small paws a little apart, each with 3 finger bumps, ending back on the chin.
Step 7: Tummy patch
From one paw draw a big oval tummy patch down near the feet and back up to the other paw.
Step 8: Feet and ground
Draw a long ground line under the body. At each bottom corner draw a bun foot with 2 toe lines.
Step 9: Bushy tail
From behind the right hip draw a big bushy tail curling up beside the body, up to the cheek.
Tip Give the outside edge 4 big soft fluffy bumps.
Step 10: Whiskers
From beside the snout draw 3 thin whiskers out across each cheek, stopping inside the head.
Step 11: Cream snout and tummy
Colour the snout and the tummy patch cream.
Step 12: Pink ears and paws
Colour the dish inside each ear, the nose, the paws and the feet pink.
Step 13: Grey fur
Colour the head, ears, body and tail grey, around the cream and pink parts. Leave the eyes white.
