How to Draw a Baguette Basket
Draw a baguette basket in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the basket.
Step 1: The basket
Low on your paper draw a basket front: a wide smile curve on top, sides leaning in, a flat bottom.
Step 2: Back of the basket
From the top left corner draw a rainbow over to the top right corner, for the basket's back edge.
Step 3: A tall baguette
In the basket draw a long thin loaf standing up, as tall as your hand, with a pointy top.
Tip A baguette is a long thin crusty loaf with pointed ends.
Step 4: Two more baguettes
Add 2 more loaves: a longer one on the left, a shorter one on the right, both leaning out.
Step 5: Slashes
On each baguette draw short slanted lines across it, spaced out, for the slashes in the crust.
Step 6: The weave
Draw a bowed rim line across the basket near the top, 3 more below it, and 4 lines down.
Step 7: The table
Draw a long table line under the basket, starting well left of it and stopping well right of it.
Step 8: Tan baguettes
Go over your lines, then colour all 3 baguettes tan.
Step 9: Wood basket
Colour the front of the basket wood brown.
Step 10: Dark inside
Colour the inside at the back of the basket dark brown, around the loaves.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a baguette basket, drawn by you.
