How to Draw Chickpeas
Draw chickpeas in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big chickpea.
Step 1: Big chickpea
In the middle draw a lumpy ball as big as your fist, swelling into a beak on the upper right.
Tip That one tiny point makes it a chickpea, not a ball.
Step 2: 2 big eyes
In the middle draw 2 big egg eyes, one eye apart. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile, and a small flat oval cheek beside each end of the smile.
Step 4: The crease
Start at the beak's tip. Draw 1 short curved crease down along the side. Stop well above the eyes.
Step 5: Left chickpea
Behind the big one on the left draw a smaller chickpea on the same ground, its little beak pointing up-left.
Step 6: Right chickpea
Do the same on the right: a smaller chickpea tucked behind the big one, its beak pointing up-right.
Step 7: 2 more creases
Give each small chickpea a short curved crease, from the beak tip down along the side, stopping early.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a long ground line under the 3 chickpeas, just touching their bottoms.
Step 9: Tan chickpeas
Go over your lines, then colour all 3 chickpeas tan, going round the face and leaving the eyes white.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink. Your chickpeas are done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: chickpeas, drawn by you.
