How to Draw a Pomegranate
Draw a pomegranate in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pomegranate.
Step 1: The pomegranate
A little left of the middle of your paper draw a big lumpy round as big as your fist.
Step 2: The crown
Start on top of the fruit, draw a neck spreading into 3 points, and stop on the fruit again.
Tip Keep the bottom narrow and the middle point tallest.
Step 3: A leaf
From the right of the crown draw a fat leaf pointing up right. Add a line down its middle.
Step 4: A slice
In front of the fruit, low on the right, draw a round slice a bit smaller than your palm.
Tip The slice sits in front, so the fruit hides behind it.
Step 5: The rind
Draw a second round a finger inside the slice, all the way round.
Step 6: The juicy seeds
Inside the rind draw 7 little rounds packed together: one in the middle and 6 round it, like a flower.
Step 7: A shine
Inside the left side of the fruit draw a thin oval sliver for a shine, near the edge.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a ground line under the fruit and the slice, from well left to well right, lifting across them.
Step 9: Cream slice
Go over your lines. Colour the slice cream, but skip the 7 seeds.
Step 10: Red fruit and seeds
Colour the fruit and its crown red around the slice, and the 7 seeds red. Leave the shine white.
Step 11: Green leaf
Colour the leaf green. Your pomegranate is done!
