How to Draw a Chicken Face
Draw a chicken face in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Draw a big egg, a little wider near the bottom, so big it fills most of the page.
Step 2: Pointed beak
Low on the face, draw a small rounded triangle beak, point down. Draw one short line across it.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Halfway down the head, above the beak, draw 2 big round eyes with a gap between them.
Step 4: Pupils and shine
Inside each eye, colour a big black dot, leaving a small white shine near the top.
Tip Leave the rest of each eye white.
Step 5: Red comb
Start on top of the head, left of the middle. Draw 3 bumps like a crown, ending on the head.
Tip Make the middle bump the tallest, with no lines inside the comb.
Step 6: The wattle
Under the beak, draw a little teardrop wattle. Start on the beak, drop to a round end, come back up.
Step 7: Eyebrows
Just above each eye, draw a short, gentle curved eyebrow. Start over the inside and stop over the outside.
Step 8: Rosy cheeks
Draw a small round blush on each cheek, beside the beak and under the eye, and colour it pink.
Step 9: White hen, yellow beak
Leave the head white, like paper, then colour the beak yellow. Keep the eyes white.
Step 10: Red comb and wattle
Colour the comb and the wattle red, and go over all your lines.
