How to Draw a Wolf Running
Draw a wolf running in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
On the left, just above the middle, draw a big circle for the head. About plum size.
Step 2: Snout, nose and smile
On the left of the head, draw a long snout that gets thinner. Add a black nose and a smile.
Step 3: Two pointy ears
On top of the head draw 2 tall pointy ears, one just in front of the other.
Tip Tall upright ears say wolf.
Step 4: Big eye and brow
In the front of the head, draw a big eye with a black dot and a shine. Add a brow.
Step 5: Cheek ruff
Start on the back of the head by the eye. Draw 2 soft fur bumps down. Stop above the chest.
Step 6: The body
From behind the ear draw a long back out to the right. Curve down and back to the ruff.
Tip A running wolf is long and stretched, like a sausage with a head.
Step 7: Ground and near legs
Draw a ground line. Add a front leg reaching forward, and a bent back leg standing on the ground.
Tip Make each leg thinner as it goes down, then give it a round paw.
Step 8: The far legs
Behind the front leg, draw a leg standing on the ground. Add a far back leg tucked under the tummy.
Step 9: Bushy tail
From the top of the rump, draw a bushy tail to a soft tip, bumpy underneath. Stop on the rump.
Step 10: Cream tummy, peach ears
Colour the chin and tummy cream, and the inside of the ears peach.
Step 11: Grey coat
Colour the rest of the wolf grey, around the cream and peach. Leave the eye white. All done!
