How to Draw a French Bulldog
Draw a French bulldog in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: wide head.
Step 1: Wide head
In the middle draw a big soft head, flat on top and very wide at the cheeks.
Tip Leave room above for 2 tall ears and below for the body.
Step 2: Bat ears
On each top corner of the head, draw a tall ear with a round tip. Draw a smaller one inside.
Tip Big ears that stand straight up are what make it a French bulldog.
Step 3: Big eyes
Draw 2 big round eyes across the middle of the head, wide apart, with black dots and shines.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 4: Snout and nose
Under the eyes draw a wide snout with 2 droopy jowls at the bottom. Add a black triangle nose.
Tip The snout is short and squashed, not long.
Step 5: Mouth and chin
From the nose draw a short line down to the jowls. Under the jowls draw a small U chin.
Step 6: Stocky body
Start on each cheek. Draw a wide C down to near the bottom. Join them with a sagging line.
Step 7: Front legs
From under the chin, draw 2 legs down to round paws, with a gap between them. Add toe lines.
Tip Rub out the body line inside the legs.
Step 8: Back paws
Draw a hill paw at each bottom corner of the body, with 2 toe lines on each.
Step 9: The ground
Start at the left. Draw a long line under all 4 paws across to the right.
Step 10: Pink and tan
Colour the ear middles pink and the fur tan, around the snout and chin. Leave the eyes white.
Tip Colour the light pink first, then the tan.
Step 11: Brown snout
Colour the snout and chin brown, around the black nose. Your French bulldog is done!
