How to Draw Chicken and Dumplings
Draw chicken and dumplings in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the dish.
Step 1: The dish
In the middle of your paper draw a big wide oval for the dish. Leave room at each end.
Step 2: Inside edge
Draw a second oval a finger inside the first, all the way round, for the top of the stew.
Tip A creamy chicken stew with puffy dumplings on top.
Step 3: Two handles
On each end, start on the edge, curve a small handle out, and come back to the edge.
Step 4: A dumpling
On the left of the stew draw a round puffy dumpling with 5 soft lumps, like a little cloud.
Step 5: More dumplings
Draw a bigger cloud low in the middle, a smaller one high right, and a small one lower left.
Step 6: Chicken
Between the dumplings draw 3 chunky tilted blocks with soft corners: top middle, right, and left.
Step 7: Carrot chunks
Draw 2 half-round carrot chunks of different sizes, one at the top and one in the middle.
Step 8: Peas
Draw 4 round peas spread far apart in the stew: left, bottom, right and middle.
Step 9: Cream stew
Go over your lines, then colour the stew cream, around the dumplings, chicken, carrots and peas.
Step 10: Yellow dumplings, sky dish
Colour the 4 dumplings yellow, and the dish and its handles sky blue.
Step 11: Tan chicken, orange carrot
Colour the chicken tan and the carrot chunks orange.
Step 12: Green peas
Colour the peas green. Your chicken and dumplings is done!
