How to Draw a Chibi Squirrel

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a chibi squirrel in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Big head

On the left of your paper, draw a big bun head, narrow on top with fat cheeks low down.

Tip Leave room on the right for a huge tail.

  2. Step 2: Tufted ears

On top of the head, draw 2 tall ears with a tufty double tip. Add a leaf shape inside each.

  3. Step 3: Big shiny eyes

Halfway down the head, draw 2 big oval eyes. Add a ring, a black dot and 2 shines in each.

Tip Huge shiny eyes make it chibi.

  4. Step 4: Nose and smile

Between the eyes, a little lower, draw a tiny round nose. Under it, draw a small W smile.

  5. Step 5: Small egg body

Start under one cheek. Draw a small egg body down and round to the other cheek.

Tip The body is much narrower than the head.

  6. Step 6: Arms and paws

From each shoulder, draw a short arm down, bending in to a round paw near the middle.

Tip Leave a gap between the paws for the acorn.

  7. Step 7: The acorn

Between the paws, draw an acorn: a bowl cap with a tiny stalk, then a pointed nut below.

  8. Step 8: Tummy patch

On the body, draw a tall egg for the tummy. It hides behind the arms and acorn.

  9. Step 9: Bun feet

At each bottom corner of the body, draw a bun foot with 2 short toe lines.

  10. Step 10: Big bushy tail

From the right foot, draw a huge fat tail up past the head. Curl its tip over.

Tip The tail is as tall as the whole squirrel. Add a swirl line inside the curl.

  11. Step 11: Ground line

Start left of the feet. Draw a flat ground line and stop past the tail.

  12. Step 12: Cream and pink

Colour the tummy cream. Colour the nose, inside the ears and 2 round cheeks pink.

  13. Step 13: Ginger fur

Colour the head, ears, body, arms, feet and tail ginger, around the cream and pink.

Tip Leave the eyes and the acorn white.

  14. Step 14: Brown acorn

Colour the eye rings and the acorn cap brown. Colour the nut tan. Your chibi squirrel is done!
