How to Draw a Shrew
Draw a shrew in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: teardrop head.
Step 1: Teardrop head
Near the top of your paper draw a big teardrop head, round on top and narrowing to a pointy snout.
Tip The pointy snout is what makes it a shrew, not a mouse.
Step 2: Tiny round ears
On each side of the head draw a small round ear peeking out like a button. Add a circle inside.
Step 3: Nose and smile
Near the tip of the snout draw a small teardrop nose. Under it draw a little smile.
Step 4: Big round eyes
Draw 2 big round eyes high on the head, each with a black dot and a white shine.
Step 5: Pear body and tummy
Start under each cheek. Draw a lazy C down and round, stopping at the bottom middle. Add an oval tummy.
Tip The body hangs off the cheeks like a pear.
Step 6: Short arms and paws
From under each cheek draw a short arm down to a mitten paw with 2 toe lines, and back up.
Step 7: Back feet
At the bottom of the body on each side draw a small round foot peeking out, with 2 toe lines.
Step 8: Short thin tail
From behind the right foot draw a thin tail along the ground, lifting its tip up at the end.
Step 9: The ground
Draw 1 flat ground line under the feet and the tail from the left edge to the right edge.
Step 10: A fallen leaf
On the left draw a small leaf lying on the ground, point sticking up. Add a line down its middle.
Step 11: Pink and cream
Colour the nose and the inside of the ears pink, and the tummy cream.
Step 12: Tan tail, green leaf
Colour the tail tan and the leaf green.
Step 13: Brown fur
Go over your lines. Colour the fur brown around the pink ear insides, nose and tummy. Leave the eyes white.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a shrew, drawn by you.
