How to Draw a Gorilla Face
Draw a gorilla face in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
In the middle of your paper draw a big wide head, like a hill with round cheeks.
Tip Keep the top a gentle dome, not a point.
Step 2: The face patch
Inside the head draw a big face patch, a finger in from the head line.
Step 3: Big eyes
Just below the middle of the head draw 2 big round eyes. Colour a big black dot low in each.
Step 4: The heavy brow
Start on the left edge of the face patch. Draw one big brow over both eyes to the right edge.
Tip The one big brow is what makes a gorilla face.
Step 5: Two wide nostrils
Under the eyes, in the middle of the face, colour 2 wide nostrils side by side, like 2 flat beans.
Step 6: The smile
Start under the left eye, below the nostrils. Draw a wide U smile across and stop under the right eye.
Step 7: Small ears
Halfway down each side of the head draw a small C ear sticking out, with a smaller C inside it.
Step 8: Bump on top
On the very top of the head draw a small round bump, starting and ending on the head line.
Step 9: Grey face, pink cheeks
Go over your lines. Colour the face patch and ear insides light grey. Add a pink cheek under each eye.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Slate fur
Colour the head, the top bump and the outer ears slate grey, around the grey face and ear insides.
