How to Draw a Chibi Puppy

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a chibi puppy in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Big round head

Near the top, draw a big round head, wider than tall, with fat cheeks.

Tip A chibi head is about half of the whole puppy.

  2. Step 2: Floppy ears

Start on top of the head. Draw a floppy ear hanging down over each side and back up.

Tip Each ear covers the edge of the head, so rub out the head line inside it.

  3. Step 3: Big shiny eyes

Halfway down the head, draw 2 big oval eyes. Add a black pupil and 2 shines in each.

  4. Step 4: Snout and nose

Under the eyes, draw a wide oval snout. Sit a small rounded triangle nose on top and colour it black.

  5. Step 5: Smile and tongue

From the nose point, draw a short line down to a little w smile. Hang a U tongue from it.

  6. Step 6: Collar and tag

Under the chin, draw a curved collar band from cheek to cheek. Hang a round tag from its middle.

  7. Step 7: Small body

Start under each cheek. Curve out and down for a small round body, and join it underneath.

Tip The body is narrower than the head.

  8. Step 8: Front legs

From the collar, draw 2 front legs down to round paws, with a gap between. Add 2 toes on each.

  9. Step 9: Hind feet

Beside each front paw, draw a bean foot poking out from behind it. Add 2 toes on each.

  10. Step 10: Waggy tail

Start low on the right side. Draw a fat tail curving up to a round tip and back.

Tip Fat at the body, thinner at the tip.

  11. Step 11: Ground line

Start left of the feet. Draw a flat ground line under them and stop past the tail.

  12. Step 12: Cream and pink

Colour the snout cream, around the nose. Colour the tongue and 2 round cheeks pink.

  13. Step 13: Yellow tag, tan fur

Colour the tag yellow. Colour the head, body, legs, feet and tail tan. Leave the eyes white.

  14. Step 14: Red and brown

Colour the collar red. Colour the 2 floppy ears brown. Your chibi puppy is done!
