How to Draw Chibi Eyes
Draw chibi eyes in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: thick top lids.
Step 1: Thick top lids
Left of the middle draw a thick rainbow eyelid, pointed at both ends. Draw another on the right.
Tip Chibi eyes are huge, so leave lots of room under each lid.
Step 2: Eye outlines
From one end of each lid, draw a big rounded U down and up to the lid's other end.
Tip Make each eye taller than it is wide.
Step 3: Giant irises
Inside each eye draw a tall egg that nearly fills it, with its top tucked under the lid.
Step 4: Tall pupils
In the middle of each iris draw a tall thin egg for the pupil. Colour it black.
Step 5: Big shines
Draw a big circle high on the outer side of each iris, and a small one low inside.
Tip Big shines are what make chibi eyes sparkle.
Step 6: Glow line
Start on the left edge of each iris, low down. Draw a smile curve across to the right edge.
Step 7: Lashes
At the outer end of each lid draw 2 short eyelashes. Start on the lid and flick out and up.
Step 8: Short eyebrows
Above each eye, draw a short curved leaf eyebrow, pointed at both ends.
Step 9: Light blue glow
Colour the band under each glow line light blue. Leave the eye whites white.
Step 10: Blue irises
Colour the rest of each iris blue, around the pupils. Leave the shines white.
Step 11: Brown eyebrows
Colour the short eyebrows brown, right out to their pointed ends.
Step 12: Black lids
Colour the thick lids black. Go over your lines and your chibi eyes are done.
