How to Draw a Sad Girl
Draw a sad girl in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
In the middle of your paper draw a big egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room above for hair and below for shoulders.
Step 2: Big sad eyes
Below the middle draw 2 big oval eyes. Colour a black dot low in each one, leaving a shine.
Tip Dots that sit low make the eyes look down, which looks sad.
Step 3: Long hair
Start high on the forehead. Sweep the hair down beside each cheek, round the ends and back over the top.
Tip The hair is wider than the head all the way round.
Step 4: Sad eyebrows
Above each eye draw a short eyebrow. Make it high near the middle and sloping down to the outside.
Tip Eyebrows that slope down at the sides are what make a face look sad.
Step 5: Nose and mouth
Between the eyes draw a tiny U nose. Under it draw a short upside-down curve for a sad mouth.
Step 6: One tear
Under the left eye draw one teardrop on the cheek, pointy on top and round below.
Tip Leave a little gap between the eye and the tear.
Step 7: Neck and shoulders
Start under the chin. Draw 2 neck lines to a collar curve. Slope shoulders out and stop at the bottom.
Step 8: Blue tear
Colour the teardrop light blue.
Step 9: Peach skin
Colour the face and neck peach, around the tear. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Pink top
Colour the top pink, from the collar down to the bottom.
Step 11: Brown hair
Colour all the hair brown, and the bits beside the neck too. Go over your lines.
