How to Draw a Cheer Bow

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a cheer bow in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the knot.

Print

  1. Step 1: The knot

In the middle of your paper, a little high, draw a small rounded box, taller than it is wide.

  2. Step 2: Left loop

From the knot's left side, draw a big loop up and out, round the tall end, and back.

Tip Make the far end much taller than the knot, like a wing.

  3. Step 3: Right loop

From the knot's right side, draw the same big loop, just as tall and just as wide.

  4. Step 4: Left tail

From under the knot, draw a long straight tail slanting down left. Cut a V notch in its end.

  5. Step 5: Right tail

Draw the same long tail slanting down to the right, with a V notch in its end.

  6. Step 6: Pinch folds

Start on each side of the knot. Draw 2 short curved lines out into each loop, stopping soon.

  7. Step 7: Loop dots

Draw 3 round dots inside each loop, spread out and clear of the edges.

  8. Step 8: Tail dots

Draw 2 round dots down the middle of each tail.

  9. Step 9: Yellow knot

Colour the knot in the middle yellow.

  10. Step 10: Blue loops

Colour both big loops blue, going around the dots. Leave the dots white.

  11. Step 11: Blue tails

Colour both tails blue, around the dots. Your cheer bow is ready!
