How to Draw Libra
Draw Libra in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the stand.
Step 1: The stand
Draw a tall thin post up to the middle of your paper, standing on a wide low hill base.
Step 2: The beam
On the post draw a round coin, with a long flat bar out of each side ending in a ball.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the round middle of the beam draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile from eye to eye, and a tiny flat cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Left pan
Under the left ball draw a rim and bowl, and 2 thin lines from the ball down to the rim.
Tip The bowl hangs from the rim like a smile.
Step 6: Right pan
Do the same on the right: a rim and bowl, and 2 thin lines from the ball down to it.
Step 7: Star and heart
On the left pan draw a little star, and on the right pan a little heart, tucked behind the rims.
Step 8: Knob and sparkles
Start on the round middle, draw a line up and stop at a small ball. Add a sparkle each side.
Step 9: Ground line
Draw a straight ground line under the base, starting past the left pan and stopping past the right pan.
Step 10: Yellow gold
Go over your lines, then colour the post, the beam, the balls, the knob and the star yellow.
Tip Leave the eyes white, and the cheeks white for now.
Step 11: Wood base, orange pans
Colour the base wood brown and the 2 pans orange.
Step 12: Red heart, pink cheeks
Colour the heart red and the cheeks pink, and your balance scales are ready to weigh!
