How to Draw a Cat Tree
Draw a cat tree in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the base.
Step 1: The base
Near the bottom of your paper, draw a long flat slab for the base, nearly as wide as the page.
Step 2: The tall post
From the right of the base, draw a tall thin post straight up, nearly to the top of the page.
Tip The post is the trunk of the cat tree: tall and narrow.
Step 3: Two platforms
Above the middle of the post, draw a flat platform sticking out both sides. Draw a wider one on top.
Step 4: Cosy lip on top
On the top platform, start near the left end. Draw a low hill over to the right end.
Tip The lip is the cat's pillow edge, so it curves gently.
Step 5: The little house
Start on the left of the base. Draw a box up, across and down to it. Add a flat roof.
Step 6: Round door
In the middle of the house, draw a big round hole for the door.
Step 7: Rope wraps
Across the post, draw short rope lines from edge to edge: 4 above the middle platform and 6 below.
Tip Each line tilts down a tiny bit.
Step 8: Dangling toy
Under the middle platform's right end, draw a short string down to a round yarn ball with 3 curved lines.
Step 9: The ground
Draw the ground line under the base from left to right.
Step 10: Tan carpet, red ball
Colour the platforms, the lip, the house, the base and the roof tan, and the ball red.
Step 11: Wood post, slate door
Colour the post wood brown around the platform, and the inside of the door slate grey. Go over your lines.
