How to Draw a Cashew

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a cashew in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: bottom curve.

Print

  1. Step 1: Bottom curve

Start high on the left. Draw a big fat U whose ends curl in. Stop high on the right.

  2. Step 2: Top curve

Start at one round end. Draw a gentle curve that dips in the middle and stop at the other end.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

Below the dip draw 2 big egg eyes. Add a black dot and a white shine in each.

  4. Step 4: A big smile

Leave a little gap under the eyes and draw a wide U smile, ends turning up.

  5. Step 5: Round cheeks

Under each eye, just outside the smile, draw a small flat oval for a cheek.

  6. Step 6: The crease

Start inside the right end, near the dip. Follow the top edge up and stop before the round tip.

  7. Step 7: A shine

Inside the left end draw 1 short curved line that follows the round edge, for a shine.

  8. Step 8: The ground

Draw a ground line under the nut, from near the left edge to near the right edge.

  9. Step 9: Pink cheeks

    Colour the 2 cheeks pink.

  10. Step 10: Tan cashew

Go over your lines. Colour the nut tan, going around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
