How to Draw a Cappuccino
Draw a cappuccino in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
In the middle, draw a wide flat oval about a hand wide, for the top of the cup.
Step 2: The cup
From the left end of the oval, curve down like a bowl, round the bottom, up to the right end.
Tip Wide and shallow, like a soup bowl with a flat bottom.
Step 3: The foam
Start inside the rim's left end. Draw 4 low soft bumps over to inside the right end.
Tip Keep the foam low, a little dome just above the rim.
Step 4: The handle
Start under the right rim. Draw a fat C out, back to the cup. Add a smaller C inside.
Step 5: The saucer
Draw one big flat oval saucer under the cup, reaching well out each side. Lift your pencil behind the cup.
Step 6: A spoon
On the left of the saucer, draw a spoon: an oval bowl and a short handle pointing at the cup.
Tip The spoon stays on the saucer, never past its edge.
Step 7: Cocoa dust
On the foam, draw 4 small round spots, spread out, for the cocoa dusting.
Step 8: Steam and table
Draw 2 wavy steam lines above the foam. From each saucer end, draw a table line toward the edge.
Step 9: White foam
Colour the foam white, going round the cocoa dots, and the rim inside the cup tan.
Step 10: Sky saucer
Colour the saucer sky blue and the spoon grey.
Step 11: Red cup, brown cocoa
Colour the cup and handle red, dot the cocoa brown, and your cappuccino is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a cappuccino, drawn by you.
