How to Draw a Candy Apple
Draw a candy apple in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the apple.
Step 1: The apple
In the middle of your paper, draw a big round apple, as wide as your hand. Dip the top in.
Tip The apple is fatter at the shoulders than at the bottom.
Step 2: The stick
From the dip, draw 2 lines straight up, as tall as a thumb, and join them across the top.
Step 3: Candy puddle
Start low on the apple's left side. Draw a wide wavy puddle under the apple, stopping on its right side.
Tip The hot candy slides down and pools round the bottom.
Step 4: Sparkles
Draw a 4-point sparkle on each side of the stick and a small one off the apple's right side.
Step 5: A shine
On the upper left of the apple, draw a thin slanted oval sliver for a shine.
Tip The candy shell is hard and glossy.
Step 6: A plate
Under the apple, draw a long flat oval plate, going behind the apple and puddle. Add a rim oval inside.
Step 7: The table
Draw a table line under the plate from well left to well right, just touching its bottom.
Step 8: Sparkles and stick
Colour the sparkles yellow and the stick light brown.
Step 9: Blue plate
Colour the plate sky blue, going around the apple and its puddle.
Step 10: Red candy
Colour the apple and its candy puddle red. Leave the shine white. Your candy apple is done!
