How to Draw a Butcher
Draw a butcher in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: Eyes and smile
Draw 2 round eyes with big pupils and shine dots, a small nose, and a smile under it.
Step 3: Moustache
Under the nose, draw a moustache like a fat bow that sits on the ends of the smile.
Step 4: Ears
Each ear: start on the side of the head, bulge out in a C, and stop on the head.
Step 5: Paper cap
Start on the left of the head. Draw a flat-topped cap up, across, and down to the right side.
Step 6: Neck and shirt
Draw 2 neck lines under the chin. Start at the left one, draw a shirt, stop at the right one.
Step 7: The apron
Draw an apron: a bib on the chest, wide down to the knees.
Step 8: Both arms bent
Draw each arm bending at the elbow: from the shirt's side, down and in across the tummy to the wrist.
Step 9: 2 mitten hands
From each cuff draw a round mitten pointing in, with a little thumb bump on top. The hands nearly meet.
Step 10: String of sausages
Start at the left hand. Draw 4 fat sausages end to end, sagging in a U, to the right hand.
Tip Make each sausage as big as a thumb.
Step 11: Trousers, shoes, ground
Start at the hem's left end. Draw 2 trouser legs, stop at the right end. Add shoes and ground.
Step 12: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour 2 pink cheeks, then colour the face, ears, neck and hands peach around the moustache and cheeks.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: White cap and apron
Leave the cap and the apron white, and colour 3 red stripes down the bib.
Step 14: Sky shirt, brown sausages
Colour the shirt sky blue, the sausages, moustache and shoes brown, and the trousers black. Your butcher is done!
