How to Draw the Burj Khalifa
Draw the Burj Khalifa in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tall middle.
Step 1: The tall middle
In the middle of your paper draw a tall, thin block, almost to the top. Close it along the ground.
Tip Much taller than wide, like a pencil standing up.
Step 2: The needle
On top of the block draw a long thin needle: slant up to a sharp point and back down.
Step 3: First steps down
On each side draw a thin block leaning on the middle, a bit shorter. Add another outside it, shorter again.
Step 4: More steps down
Draw 3 more thin blocks on each side, each a little shorter, so the tower narrows like steps.
Step 5: A glass line
Draw 1 thin line down the middle of the tall block, from under the needle to near the door.
Step 6: Three bands
Draw 3 short lines across the middle block from side to side, spaced far apart.
Step 7: Door and ground
At the bottom of the middle block draw a small box door. Draw the ground line right across under it.
Step 8: A cloud
Draw a puffy cloud in the top left: a row of bumps on top and 2 flatter bumps underneath.
Step 9: The sun
Draw a round sun with 8 short rays in the top right.
Step 10: Sky tower
Colour the middle block sky blue, not the door. On each side, colour every other block, skipping the first.
Step 11: Grey steps and needle
Colour the other side blocks and the needle stone grey, and the door slate grey.
Step 12: Yellow sun, white cloud
Colour the sun yellow and the cloud white. Go over your lines and your Burj Khalifa is done!
