How to Draw a Bulldog

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a bulldog in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: jowly head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Jowly head

Near the top draw a big soft egg head, flat on top and very wide at the cheeks.

Tip Leave room underneath for the body and legs.

  2. Step 2: Ears and wrinkles

Draw a small folded ear on each top corner of the head. Add 2 rainbow wrinkles in between.

  3. Step 3: Eyes and patch

Draw 2 big round eyes across the middle, with dots and shines. Add a soft patch around the right eye.

Tip Huge eyes wide apart make the squashed face.

  4. Step 4: Jowls and nose

Under the eyes draw a wide snout with 2 droopy jowls at the bottom. Add a big black triangle nose.

Tip Rub out the patch line inside the snout.

  5. Step 5: Chin and teeth

From the nose draw a line down to the jowls. Below, add a U chin with 2 teeth pointing up.

Tip Rub out the jowl lines inside the teeth.

  6. Step 6: Stocky body

Start on each cheek. Draw a wide C down to near the bottom, bowing out a little. Join them below.

  7. Step 7: Collar and tag

Under the chin draw 2 sagging curves from the left side across to the right. Hang a round tag below.

  8. Step 8: Front legs

From the collar, draw 2 legs down to round paws, with a gap between them. Add toe lines.

Tip Rub out the body line inside the legs.

  9. Step 9: Back paws and tail

Draw a hill paw at each bottom corner. From the right hip, draw a short stub tail.

  10. Step 10: The ground

Start at the left. Draw a long line under all 4 paws across to the right.

  11. Step 11: Cream fur

Colour the fur cream, around the ears, snout, chin, patch and collar. Leave the eyes and teeth white.

  12. Step 12: Red collar

Colour the collar red. Go over all your lines.

  13. Step 13: Brown patch, grey snout

Colour the patch and both ears brown. Colour the snout and chin grey, around the nose and teeth.
