How to Draw a Guinea Pig
Draw a guinea pig in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big blunt head.
Step 1: Big blunt head
On the left, draw a big round head with a blunt, rounded nose at the front.
Tip Leave lots of room on the right for the long body.
Step 2: Petal ear
On top of the head near the back, draw a small floppy petal ear with a smaller petal inside.
Tip Guinea pig ears are soft round petals that flop back, not tall points.
Step 3: One big eye
Above the middle of the head, draw one big round eye with a black dot and a white shine.
Tip We see the guinea pig from the side, so only 1 eye shows.
Step 4: Nose and smile
Near the front, draw a small round nose. From its tip, draw a short smile curving back, then stop.
Step 5: Long potato body
From behind the ear, draw a long potato body round the back and under the tummy to the chin.
Tip No neck: the back grows straight out of the head, and there is no tail.
Step 6: Front paws
Under the chin, draw a small round paw. Add a second paw peeking out just behind it.
Step 7: Back feet
Under the round bottom, draw a long back foot. Add a second foot peeking out in front of it.
Step 8: Fur band
Start on the back and draw 2 soft lines down to the tummy, making a wide band round the middle.
Step 9: The ground
Draw a long flat ground line under all 4 feet, from one side of the paper to the other.
Step 10: Cream and pink
Colour the band cream. Colour the nose, the inside of the ear and all 4 feet pink.
Step 11: Tan fur
Colour the head, ear and body tan, around the cream band and pink. Leave the eye white.
