How to Draw Brushing Teeth

Draw brushing teeth in 13 steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Step 1: The head
Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room below: the kid stands at a bathroom sink.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 big round eyes with black dots and shines, a tiny nose and a smile.
Step 3: Hair and fringe
From the left of the head draw the hair up over the top to the right. Add a curved fringe.
Step 4: Neck and pyjama top
Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one draw a pyjama top down to the sink, with a raised sleeve.
Tip Add 4 stripe lines across the top, from side to side.
Step 5: Arms
Bend one arm from its sleeve down and in to the tummy, and the raised one up to the chin.
Tip Give each arm a round elbow. The raised fist holds the toothbrush at the corner of the mouth.
Step 6: Hands
On the left wrist draw a round fist pointing in. On the raised wrist draw a round fist pointing up.
Step 7: Toothbrush and foam
From behind the raised fist draw a handle over to a brush head at the mouth. Add a foam cloud.
Tip Keep the foam small: 3 round bumps beside the smile, not over it.
Step 8: Sink, basin and tap
Draw a sink top, then sides from it down to the ground. Add a basin and a tap on top.
Tip The sink hides the legs, so there are none to draw.
Step 9: Cup and toothpaste
On the left of the sink draw a cup, wider at the top, and a toothpaste tube lying flat.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, neck, arms and fists peach, with a pink circle on each cheek.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Sky pyjamas, grey tap
Colour the pyjama top sky blue around the arm, leaving 2 bands for stripes. Colour the tap grey.
Step 12: Blue stripes, red brush
Colour the 2 stripe bands blue, and the toothbrush handle and toothpaste cap red.
Step 13: Brown hair
Colour the hair brown. Leave the sink, cup, tube, brush head and foam white. Go over your lines. Done!
