How to Draw an Apple
Draw an apple in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the apple.
Step 1: The apple
From a dip on top draw round the apple and back to the dip. Bite 2 scoops out of the left.
Tip Widest at the round shoulders. Leave room above for the stem and leaf.
Step 2: The stem
From the dip draw a short stem leaning right, thinner as it goes up, and back down to the dip.
Step 3: The leaf
From the stem draw a big almond leaf pointing up and right.
Step 4: The leaf's vein
Draw a middle line along the leaf from the stem, stopping before the tip.
Step 5: Inside the bite
Draw a curve just inside the bite, from its top corner round to its bottom corner.
Step 6: A shine
Inside the right shoulder draw a thin curved sliver, a finger inside the edge, like a tiny banana.
Step 7: The ground
Draw a ground line under the apple, just touching its bottom, well left to well right. Add 2 grass tufts.
Step 8: Cream bite
Colour the band inside the bite cream, up to your curve. It is the apple's juicy inside.
Step 9: Red apple
Colour the apple red, around the white shine and the cream bite.
Step 10: Green leaf, brown stem
Colour the leaf green and the stem brown. Go over your lines and your apple is done!
