How to Draw a Bridge
Draw a bridge in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the deck.
Step 1: The deck
Start near the left side. Draw a long flat box, a finger tall, and stop near the right side.
Step 2: Four legs
Start on the deck and draw 4 thick legs straight down, one under each end and 2 between. Stop low.
Step 3: Three arches
Between each pair of legs draw a rainbow arch. Start at one leg's foot and end at the next.
Step 4: The railing
Draw 8 short posts. Start each on the deck and stop a finger up. Join them with 2 long rails.
Step 5: The river
Under the arches draw a long wavy line from edge to edge. Add 3 little ripples lower down.
Step 6: Stone blocks
On each leg draw 2 little rounded bricks, one above the other.
Step 7: Sailboat and cloud
Under the middle arch draw a boat like a melon slice with a triangle sail. Add a cloud top right.
Step 8: The sun
In the top left draw a round sun with 8 short rays around it.
Step 9: Yellow sun, grey bridge
Colour the sun yellow. Colour the deck, the legs and the wall above each arch grey like stone.
Step 10: Blue river, wooden boat
Colour the river blue, right to the edges of the paper, around the boat. Colour the boat brown.
Step 11: Red sail
Colour the sail red. Your bridge is done!
