How to Draw a Bowling Alley
Draw a bowling alley in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the long lane.
Step 1: The long lane
Start low on the left. Draw a long lane going away from you, narrow at the end. Stop low right.
Step 2: The back wall
At the far end of the lane draw a wide box standing up, a little wider than the lane.
Step 3: Gutters and floor
Start on the floor by each side of the lane and slant up to the wall. Add a floor line.
Step 4: Lane boards
Draw 3 lines down the lane from the far end to the near end. They spread out as they come.
Step 5: The front pins
At the lane's far end draw 3 pins, each with a round head, a thin neck and a fat belly.
Step 6: More pins
Draw 2 more pins peeking up between the front ones and one at the very back. They make a triangle.
Step 7: The ball
On the lane near the front, draw a big round ball with 3 dark finger holes up on its right.
Step 8: The score screen
On the back wall, above the pins, draw a box for the score screen with 3 rows of short lines.
Step 9: White, sky and grey
Go over your lines. Colour the pins white, the screen sky blue and the gutters grey.
Step 10: Wooden lane
Colour the lane wood brown, going around the ball and the pins.
Step 11: Purple ball, navy wall
Colour the ball purple and the wall navy, going around the holes, screen and pins. Your bowling alley is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a bowling alley, drawn by you.
