How to Draw a Brick
Draw a brick in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the front.
Step 1: The front
In the middle draw a long, low box, 3 times as wide as it is tall, for the front.
Step 2: The top
From the top corners draw 2 short lines slanting up right, joined with a line across, for the top.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the middle of the front draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye, and a small oval cheek at each end.
Step 5: The side
From the bottom right corner draw a short line slanting up right, and join it up to the top corner.
Step 6: Specks
Draw 4 tiny dashes on the brick, away from the face, to make it look rough.
Step 7: The ground
Draw a long ground line along the bottom of the brick, sticking out a little past each end.
Step 8: The shadow
Under the brick draw a thin flat oval along the ground for its shadow.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw 4 sparkle stars, 2 above the brick and 2 below it.
Step 10: Sparkles and shadow
Go over your lines, then colour the sparkles yellow and the shadow grey.
Step 11: Red brick
Colour the cheeks pink, then the front and top red around the face. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Dark red side
Colour the side dark red. Your brick is done!
