How to Draw a Boxing Ring
Draw a boxing ring in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the mat.
Step 1: The mat
Low on your paper, draw a wide flat mat, narrower at the back, with a strip under its front edge.
Step 2: The glove
In the middle, over the back of the mat, draw a big rounded fist, a bit taller on the right.
Tip Rub out the mat line inside the fist.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the glove draw 2 round eyes side by side, each with a black dot and a white shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide smile, and a small oval cheek on each side.
Step 5: Thumb and cuff
Low on the left, draw a fat thumb hugging the fist. Draw a short cuff below, with a line.
Step 6: Front posts
At each front corner draw a tall thin post going up, with a small round cap on it.
Step 7: Back posts
At each back corner draw a shorter thin post going up behind, with a round cap.
Step 8: The ropes
From one back post to the other, draw 3 straight ropes behind the glove, one above the other.
Step 9: Side ropes
From each front post, draw 3 short slanted ropes up to the back post, meeting the back ropes.
Step 10: Ground and sparkles
Rule a ground line under the strip, a little past each end. Add 3 sparkle stars above the ring.
Step 11: Yellow stars, pink cheeks
Colour the 3 sparkle stars yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 12: Sky mat, red glove
Colour the mat light sky blue. Colour the glove, thumb and posts red, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Navy cuff and strip
Colour the cuff and the front strip navy. Go over your lines and ding ding, round one!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a boxing ring, drawn by you.
