How to Draw a Greenhouse
Draw a greenhouse in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: glass roof.
Step 1: Glass roof
Above the middle draw a pointy roof with a brim poking out each side, lined from end to end.
Tip A greenhouse roof is straight and sharp, like a glass tent.
Step 2: The walls
Start under the brim near its left end. Draw the wall down, across, and back up to the brim.
Step 3: The door
In the middle of the wall draw a tall door from the bottom up, across, and down. Add a knob.
Step 4: The ground
Draw a ground line from each bottom corner out to the paper edge. Add 3 grass blades at each end.
Step 5: Roof panes
From the brim draw 5 evenly spaced bars straight up to the roof. Add 1 bar across the middle.
Step 6: Wall panes
Draw a rail at the door top. From the brim draw 6 bars down to it, 2 reaching the ground.
Tip Leave the outer bays clear for the plants.
Step 7: Flower pots
In each outer bay draw a flower pot standing on the bottom line, with a wider rim on top.
Step 8: Leafy plants
From each pot rim draw a stem up, ending in a pointed leaf. Add another leaf low on the outside.
Step 9: Tomatoes
Hang 2 small round tomatoes on each stem, each on the other side from a leaf.
Step 10: The sun
In the top left corner draw a small sun with 8 short rays.
Step 11: Yellow sun, sky glass
Colour the sun yellow. Colour all the glass sky blue, going around the door, pots and plants.
Step 12: Brown door and pots
Colour the door and the 2 pots wood brown.
Step 13: Green leaves, red tomatoes
Colour the leaves leaf green and the tomatoes red. Go over all your lines and your greenhouse is done!
