How to Draw a Boston Terrier
Draw a Boston terrier in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: round head.
Step 1: Round head
Near the top of your paper, draw a big soft egg, flat on top and fuller at the cheeks.
Step 2: Tall bat ears
Start on each top corner. Draw an ear straight up to a point, back to the head. Add a triangle.
Tip Boston terrier ears stand straight up like bat ears.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the middle of the head, draw 2 big round eyes far apart. Colour big black dots, leaving white shines.
Tip Huge wide-apart eyes make the squashed face.
Step 4: Snout and nose
Right under the eyes, draw a small oval snout. Sit a big black triangle nose on it, leaving a shine.
Step 5: Smile and tongue
From the nose point, draw a line down to a little w smile. Hang a small U tongue from it.
Step 6: The body
Start under each ear. Draw a big C down and out, ending near the bottom. Join the ends.
Step 7: Collar and tag
Under the chin, draw 2 sagging curves from the left of the body across to the right. Hang a tag.
Step 8: Front legs
From the collar, draw 2 legs down to round paws with 2 toes, meeting in an arch under the tag.
Step 9: Back paws and tail
At each bottom corner, draw a little hill paw with 2 toes. Add a tiny stub tail on the right.
Tip A Boston terrier's tail is just a tiny stub.
Step 10: White stripe and ground
From the top of the head, draw 2 lines down between the eyes to the snout. Add a ground line.
Tip The white stripe and white chest are the Boston's tuxedo.
Step 11: White tuxedo
Leave the stripe, the snout and the chest bib white, like a tuxedo. Colour the ear insides pink.
Step 12: Pink tongue, red collar
Colour the tongue pink and the collar red.
Step 13: Black fur
Colour the head, ears, body and tail black, around the white, pink and red parts. Leave legs and paws white.
Tip Press softly so your lines show. Leave the eyes white.
