How to Draw a Bear Paw
Draw a bear paw in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: top of the pad.
Step 1: Top of the pad
Start low on the left. Draw a wide hill with a small dip in the middle. Stop on the right.
Tip A bear's pad is wide and short, like a bean.
Step 2: Bottom of the pad
Start at the right end. Draw a wide U underneath and stop at the left end, like a bean.
Step 3: Toe rainbow
Lightly draw a rainbow from above the pad's left end to above its right end. Toes sit on it.
Step 4: The middle toe
At the top of the rainbow, draw one egg toe standing up straight.
Step 5: Two toes beside it
Draw one more egg toe on each side, on the rainbow a little lower, leaning out.
Step 6: Two outer toes
Draw the last toe at each end of the rainbow, leaning out more. That makes 5 toes.
Tip 5 toes, not 4: that is how you know it is a bear.
Step 7: Three claw marks
Above each of the middle 3 toes, draw a short pointed claw like a tiny carrot. Leave a little gap.
Step 8: Two more claws
Do the same above the 2 outer toes, pointing the way those toes lean.
Step 9: Brown paw
Rub out the rainbow guide. Colour the pad and all 5 toes brown.
Step 10: Black claws
Go over your lines, then colour the 5 claws black.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a bear paw, drawn by you.
