How to Draw a Boombox
Draw a boombox in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the boombox body.
Step 1: The boombox body
In the middle of your paper draw a big soft box with round corners, twice as wide as tall.
Step 2: Two big speakers
Draw a big circle in each half of the box, nearly as tall as it. Add a smaller circle inside.
Step 3: Two big eyes
High up between the speakers draw 2 round egg eyes, half an eye apart. Add a black dot and shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The cassette deck
Under the smile draw a small soft box. Add 2 little circles inside for the reels.
Step 6: Four buttons
Above the eyes draw a row of 4 little square buttons, just under the top edge.
Step 7: The handle
On top draw a thick strap handle: an upside-down U starting and stopping on the top edge.
Step 8: The antenna
Start at the top right corner and draw a long straight antenna up to a little round ball.
Step 9: Two feet
Under the box draw 2 short square feet near the corners.
Step 10: The ground
Draw a ground line under the feet, from near the left edge to near the right edge.
Step 11: Music notes
Up on the left draw 2 music notes: a tilted oval with a stem going up and a little flag.
Step 12: Cream and yellow
Colour the middles of both speakers cream, and the 4 buttons and the note heads yellow.
Step 13: Sky and pink
Colour the deck sky blue and the cheeks pink. Leave the eyes and the 2 reels white.
Step 14: Red, grey and black
Colour the speaker rings red and the box dark grey around everything. Colour the handle, ball and feet black.
