How to Draw a Bison Face
Draw a bison face in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Draw a big round head, a little wider than tall, filling most of the page. Leave room on top.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Across the middle of the head draw 2 big oval eyes, close together, with a big black dot and shine.
Tip Nothing should touch the eyes.
Step 3: Muzzle and smile
Under the eyes draw a big egg muzzle hanging below the chin. Dot 2 nostrils and add a smile.
Step 4: Two short horns
On each top corner of the head draw a short, thick horn pointing out, then hooking up to a point.
Tip Keep the horns short and thick, not tall like a goat's.
Step 5: Leaf ears
On each side of the head, level with the eyes, draw a leaf ear sticking out, smaller leaf inside.
Step 6: Shaggy mop
From the left ear draw big bumps over the top to the right ear, then a wavy fringe back across.
Tip The mop is what makes a bison: big, bumpy and covering the horn roots.
Step 7: Shaggy beard
Under the muzzle draw a beard of 3 soft round tufts, from one side of the muzzle to the other.
Step 8: Peach ears, wood mop
Colour the ear insides peach. Colour the shaggy mop, the beard and the muzzle wood brown.
Step 9: Brown fur
Colour the head and ears brown, around the mop, the muzzle and the ear insides. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Dark grey horns
Go over your lines, then colour the horns dark grey. Your bison face is done!

Your finished drawing
