How to Draw a Bathroom Scale
Draw a bathroom scale in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the platform.
Step 1: The platform
Above the middle of your paper draw a wide, flat shape with round corners, a little narrower at the back.
Tip This is the top you stand on, seen from a little above.
Step 2: The front band
Start at the left corner of the platform. Draw down, along the bottom and back up to the right corner.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the front band draw 2 big egg eyes, a little apart. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile. Add a flat oval cheek beside each end of the smile.
Step 5: The dial window
Near the back of the platform draw a rainbow arch. Start left, stop right, then join the ends.
Step 6: Needle and marks
In the window draw a thin triangle needle from the bottom middle, pointing up right. Add 3 little ticks.
Step 7: Two footprints
In front of the dial draw 2 foot shapes side by side, wider at the top where the toes go.
Step 8: Little toes
Above each foot draw 3 round toes in a curve, with the biggest toe on the inside.
Step 9: The floor
Start well left of the scale. Draw a floor line along its bottom, stopping well past the right side.
Step 10: Two sparkles
Draw 2 little sparkle stars in the air above the scale, one on each side.
Step 11: Sparkles and cheeks
Go over your lines. Colour the sparkles yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 12: Grey front band
Colour the front band light grey, going around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Red needle
Colour the needle red.
Step 14: Teal platform
Colour the platform teal, going around the dial and footprints. Your bathroom scale is ready!
