How to Draw a Bath Mat

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a bath mat in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the mat.

Print

  1. Step 1: The mat

In the middle draw a wide flat shape with a long bottom, a shorter top and soft corners.

Tip The mat lies flat on the floor, so its far edge looks a little shorter.

  2. Step 2: Two big eyes

In the middle of the mat draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.

  3. Step 3: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes draw a U smile. Add a small flat oval cheek beside each end of the smile.

  4. Step 4: Fluffy top edge

From halfway down the left end, draw 7 fat bumps over the top, a finger out, to the right end.

Tip Make each bump fat and round like a cloud, so the mat looks fluffy.

  5. Step 5: Fluffy bottom edge

From the right end, keep going with 7 fat bumps under the bottom of the mat, back to the start.

  6. Step 6: Floor line

Start left of the mat and draw a floor line touching the bottom bumps. Stop past the right side.

  7. Step 7: Two sparkles

Draw a small sparkle star above each top corner of the mat.

  8. Step 8: Pink cheeks

Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink.

  9. Step 9: Yellow middle

Colour the middle of the mat and the sparkles yellow, around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.

  10. Step 10: Blue fluffy edge

Colour the fluffy edge sky blue, around the yellow middle, and your bath mat is ready!
