How to Draw a Billboard
Draw a billboard in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big board.
Step 1: The big board
Near the top of your paper draw a big wide box with soft corners, nearly as wide as the page.
Step 2: Two big eyes
In the board, a little above the middle, draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye, and an oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: The frame
Inside the board draw a second box a finger in from the edge all the way round, for the frame.
Step 5: Two posts
Under the board draw 2 tall thin posts, a hand in from each side, down to near the bottom.
Step 6: Little lamps
On the top edge draw 3 lamp bumps, starting and ending on the edge, each with a short stalk up.
Step 7: Stars
Draw a 5-point star in the top right of the board and a smaller one at the bottom left.
Step 8: The ground
Draw one long ground line under the 2 posts, from one side of your paper to the other.
Step 9: Yellow frame and stars
Go over your lines, then colour the frame and the 2 stars yellow.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, sky board
Colour the cheeks pink, then colour the board sky blue around the eyes, cheeks and stars. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Wood posts, grey lamps
Colour the 2 posts wood brown and the lamps slate grey, and your billboard is ready!
