How to Draw a Bike Helmet
Draw a bike helmet in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the shell.
Step 1: The shell
Draw a long helmet shell: a tall round front, a long slope down the back and a soft point.
Step 2: The visor
Start on the front edge. Draw a short peak sticking out to the front and stop lower down the edge.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the side of the shell, draw 2 big oval eyes with black dots and shines.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a U smile. Add a small oval cheek beside each eye.
Step 5: Padding band
Start at the bottom of the visor. Draw a line along the bottom edge and stop at the back point.
Step 6: Vent slots
Along the top, draw 4 long thin slots with round ends that follow the curve of the shell.
Step 7: Strap and buckle
From the bottom edge under the front cheek, loop a strap down and back up. Add a buckle.
Step 8: Pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink. Leave the eyes white.
Step 9: Sky-blue shell
Colour the shell sky blue around the eyes, cheeks and vents. Leave the padding band white.
Step 10: Red visor, grey buckle
Colour the visor red and the buckle grey.
Step 11: Navy vents and strap
Colour the vent slots and the strap navy. Your bike helmet is ready to ride!
