How to Draw a Beret

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a beret in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the soft cap.

Print

  1. Step 1: The soft cap

In the middle of your paper draw a wide soft pancake, 3 times as wide as it is tall.

Tip Let the right side droop a little lower.

  2. Step 2: Two big eyes

Draw 2 big egg eyes in the middle of the cap. Add a black dot and 2 shines in each.

  3. Step 3: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes draw a U smile. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.

  4. Step 4: The headband

Draw a shallow U under the cap for the headband. Start and stop well in from the cap's ends.

  5. Step 5: The little stalk

At the top of the cap, in the middle, draw a short soft stalk standing up.

  6. Step 6: Sparkles

Draw a little sparkle star top-right of the beret and a smaller one on the left.

  7. Step 7: A table

Draw a straight line under the headband, left to right, just touching its lowest point.

  8. Step 8: Yellow sparkles, pink cheeks

Colour the sparkles yellow and the cheeks pink.

  9. Step 9: Red beret

Colour the cap and the stalk red, around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.

  10. Step 10: Navy headband

Go over your lines, then colour the headband navy blue. Your beret is done!
