How to Draw a Robot Dragon
Draw a robot dragon in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: box head.
Step 1: Box head
Near the top of your paper draw a big box for the head. Make it wider than tall.
Tip Round the corners. Leave room above for horns and beside for wings.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Draw 2 big round eyes near the top of the box. Add a black dot and white shine in each.
Step 3: Box snout
Under the eyes draw a wide box for the snout. Add a smile with 2 small fangs hanging down.
Step 4: Horns and antenna
Draw a horn on each top corner. For the antenna, start on the head and go up to a ball.
Step 5: Neck and body
Draw a neck box under the head, then a big box body. Add a belly plate with 2 curved lines.
Step 6: Metal wings
Start where head meets body. Curve out to a pointy tip, then back to the body in 3 bumps.
Step 7: Wing rib
Inside each wing draw a curved line from the shoulder out to the first point, like a rib.
Step 8: Legs and claw feet
Start under the body. Draw 2 lines down for each leg, stopping at a flat foot with 3 claw bumps.
Step 9: Arrow tail
From the right side of the body, draw a thick tail curling up to an arrow tip.
Step 10: The ground
Draw a long ground line under the feet, from far left to far right.
Step 11: Teal wings and horns
Go over your lines. Colour the wings, the horns and the tail tip teal.
Step 12: Yellow belly, red ball
Colour the belly plate yellow and the antenna ball red.
Step 13: Green metal
Colour the head, neck, body, legs, feet and tail green, around the belly. Leave the eyes white.
