How to Draw a Ball Pit
Draw a ball pit in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pit.
Step 1: The pit
Below the middle, draw a wide low box: down the left, along the bottom, up the right, across the top.
Step 2: The front ball
In the middle of the box, draw a big round ball peeking over the front edge, big as a plum.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the ball, draw 2 round eyes side by side. Add a black dot and white shine in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a small smile and a tiny oval cheek on each side.
Step 5: Front balls
On each side of the happy ball, draw 2 round balls peeking over the front edge, a little smaller.
Step 6: Middle balls
Behind those, draw a ball on each side, tucked in between, a little higher up.
Step 7: Back balls
Along the back, draw a row of 5 more balls, higher still, so the pit is full.
Step 8: Ground line
Start left of the box and draw a straight ground line under it, stopping past the right side.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw 3 little sparkle stars around the pit, 2 above the balls and 1 on the right.
Step 10: Yellow and pink
Colour the sparkles yellow, and the 2 back balls next to the middle one. Colour the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Red balls
Colour the happy ball red around the eyes and cheeks. Colour the 2 middle balls red too.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Blue and green
Colour the middle back ball and the 2 end front balls blue. Colour the last 4 balls green.
Step 13: Purple pit
Colour the box purple. Go over your lines and jump in!
