How to Draw a Baseball Player

Draw a baseball player in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, in the middle, draw an egg head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 eyes, a nose and a smile. Add C ears, each starting and stopping on the head.
Step 3: Baseball cap
Draw a cap over the head, eyebrow to eyebrow, with a bill sticking out right and a button on top.
Tip The bill is long and flat, rounded at the end.
Step 4: Neck and jersey
From the chin, draw a neck and a short-sleeved jersey down to the waist. Add a line of 3 buttons.
Step 5: Arms
From the bottom of each sleeve, draw 2 arm lines, bending at the elbow. Stop just below the jersey.
Step 6: Glove and fist
On the left wrist, draw a big glove with a thumb and 3 finger bumps. Draw the right fist.
Tip Draw a cuff line across the top of the glove, where the arm goes in.
Step 7: Baseball bat
Through the right fist, draw a bat standing on the ground: knob on top, 2 lines down, rounded end.
Tip The bat gets a little wider toward the ground, passing behind the fist.
Step 8: Trousers and belt
From the jersey's bottom left, draw 2 trouser legs, stopping at its bottom right. Add a belt line.
Step 9: Cleats and ground
Under each trouser leg, draw a cleat with its toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under both.
Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, ears, neck, arms and fist peach, with pink cheeks. Keep the eyes white.
Step 11: Grey trousers, brown glove
Colour the trousers grey, and the glove and the bat brown.
Step 12: Red cap, white jersey
Colour the cap red, leave the jersey white, and colour the belt and the cleats black. Go over your lines.
