How to Draw a Barber Pole
Draw a barber pole in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the tall tube.
Step 1: The tall tube
In the middle of your paper draw a tall standing box, a finger wide and as tall as your hand.
Step 2: The round cap
Start at the top-left corner. Curve up and over like a rainbow and stop at the top-right corner.
Step 3: A knob on top
On the very top of the dome draw a little round ball.
Step 4: The round base
Start at the bottom-left corner. Curve down and round, and stop at the bottom-right corner.
Step 5: Stand and foot
Start on the base and draw a short neck down. Add a wide flat foot that touches the neck.
Step 6: Slanting stripes
Inside the tube draw slanting lines, all leaning the same way, in pairs. Space them out like candy cane stripes.
Step 7: The ground
Draw a ground line under the foot, left to right. Add a few grass blades near each end.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 3 little sparkle stars around the pole, 2 on the left and 1 on the right.
Step 9: Yellow sparkles, grey caps
Go over your lines. Colour the 3 sparkles yellow, and the cap, knob, base, neck and foot grey.
Step 10: Red and blue stripes
Colour the stripes red, blue, red, blue, down the pole. Leave the white stripes white. Your pole is done!

Your finished drawing
