How to Draw a Bar Stool
Draw a bar stool in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the seat.
Step 1: The seat
A little above the middle draw a fat oval seat, wider than it is tall, like a thick cushion.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the front of the seat draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile, and a small flat oval cheek beside each eye.
Step 4: The backrest
From the seat's left, arch a low backrest up and over, coming down to the seat on the right.
Step 5: Front legs
From the seat's bottom draw 2 long legs leaning out a little, one each side, down to the floor.
Step 6: Back legs
Between the front legs draw 2 more legs from the seat down to the floor, a little closer together.
Step 7: The footrest ring
Two-thirds down draw an oval ring round the legs, then a line under its front, from leg across to leg.
Tip The front of the ring goes in front of the 2 back legs.
Step 8: Floor line
Start near the left edge and draw a straight ground line under the stool, stopping near the right edge.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw a few little 4-point sparkles around it to make it shine.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, yellow sparkles
Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink and the sparkles yellow.
Step 11: Wooden frame
Colour the legs, backrest and footrest ring wood brown.
Step 12: Red seat
Colour the seat red around the face, leaving the eyes white.
