How to Draw a China Flag
Draw a china flag in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the flag pole.
Step 1: The flag pole
On the left draw a tall thin pole from near the bottom to near the top. Add a ball.
Step 2: The waving flag
Start on the pole below the ball. Wave the top edge out to the right, come down, and wave back.
Tip The bottom edge copies the top edge.
Step 3: One big star
In the top corner next to the pole draw a big star with 5 points, one point straight up.
Tip Keep it in the top half of the flag, a little way in from the pole.
Step 4: Two small stars
Right of the big star draw 2 small stars: one up high, one a little lower and further right.
Step 5: Two more stars
Below them draw 2 more small stars curving back in, so the 4 stars bend round the big star.
Tip Turn each small star so one point aims at the big star.
Step 6: Ground line
Draw a long flat ground line under the pole, from the left side to the right side.
Step 7: Yellow ball
Colour the ball on top of the pole yellow.
Step 8: Yellow stars
Colour the big star and the 4 small stars yellow.
Step 9: Grey pole
Colour the pole grey.
Step 10: Red flag
Colour the flag red, going around the stars. Go over your lines. Your China flag is waving!
Tip Go slowly round the small stars so they stay yellow.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a china flag, drawn by you.
