How to Draw a Banner Ribbon
Draw a banner ribbon in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the band.
Step 1: The band
In the middle of your paper draw a long wide band. Bow its top and bottom edges up a little.
Step 2: Two big eyes
In the middle of the band draw 2 big eggy eyes, a gap apart. Put a black dot in each.
Step 3: A big smile
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile, from under the left eye to under the right eye.
Step 4: Rosy cheeks
Beside each end of the smile draw a small sideways oval for a cheek.
Step 5: The left tail
Behind the band's left end draw a ribbon tail, a bit lower. Cut a V notch in the end.
Tip Let a little of the tail peek out under the band's corner.
Step 6: The right tail
Draw the same tail on the right, with its V notch pointing out.
Step 7: Two folds
Under each end of the band draw a short slanted line from its corner down to the tail's corner.
Step 8: Sparkles above
Above the banner draw 2 sparkle stars, one on the left and one on the right.
Step 9: Sparkles below
Draw 2 smaller sparkle stars below the banner to match.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, yellow sparkles
Go over your lines. Colour the cheeks pink and the 4 sparkles yellow.
Step 11: Blue band
Colour the band blue, around the eyes and pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Navy tails
Colour the 2 tails and the little folds navy blue. Your ribbon banner is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a banner ribbon, drawn by you.
